I like them on my car and just replaced them with the same plug: so then you would have eliminated the ignition. Ford have gone away from platinum plugs and use the AGSF32N which uses nickel electrodes, and it fits your 2003 too.
Owner has a lot of misfires on his 2003 seemingly on all cylinders and I think he used stock replacements. Since you replaced the COPs and there was no moisture in the left bank plug wells the next step would be to remove and check the plugs and then put new ones in. The most likely problems are COPs and spark plugs.

So although it is not enough to throw a light it looks like my problem is all on the left bank. The plugs have about 30k on them I replaced them with OEMs', I just replaced all 8 COP's and while some of the boots were cracked it did not fix the miss. It is not enough to throw the light but its enough for me to notice it. There is also too small a market for the product for any "hackers" to try and break the registration code process to unlock the entire software.
